Blumark Tax Advisors is looking for a Tax Associate to join our team.  We are a boutique firm headquartered in Troy, Michigan.  We offer remote, hybrid and in-office flexibility and the opportunity to work in a great culture with a supportive team.

Responsibilities:

• Calculates and prepares basic tax forecasts and tax returns.
• Participates in case studies and actively takes notes.
• Keeps cases up to date, including notes.
• Assists tax advisor and practice manager as needed.
• Participates in a minimum of 8 hours per year in tax education outside of Blumark trainings.
• Interacts with clients, when necessary, regarding answering questions, getting updates, and emailing information.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in a tax-related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1 Year of previous tax preparation experience.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer service experience is a strong preference.
• Previous experience using UltraTax, or other tax prep software is a benefit.

Salary will be based on actual experience in preparing taxes.
